Come see two plays considered “the greatest audio dramas ever written”. But wait! We’re producing them entirely for the stage!

In Sorry, Wrong Number, we meet Mrs. Stephenson, a sickly woman restricted to bed with only a telephone to connect her to her 1943 New York community. When she overhears a murder plot on a crossed line, she races the clock to save an unknown woman from a date with death! Will she succeed? Can she get anyone to believe her? And why is her husband so late in coming home? Come find out!

In The Hitchhiker, young Ronald Adams sets out from 1941 Brooklyn for the sunny shores of California, but he can’t avoid seeing the same Hitchhiker over and over. Is it a trick of the mind, or has Adams entered a different, relentless roadside reality?

In our first live and in-person production since the pandemic, we present these two suspenseful plays, each masterfully focusing on the isolation each character must overcome to avoid their own bitter end

Trigger warnings: high suspense, strangulation, and existential angst.

This comedic masterpiece spans the entirety of history, with one ordinary American family who lives through it all. Dad’s just invented the wheel, Cain is throwing rocks at the neighbor kid, mammoths and dinosaurs lounge in the family room and mom frets about how to get all those animals on the boat two by two. Through Ice Ages, biblical floods and political conventions, the Antrobus family of Excelsior, New Jersey perseveres. With a giant cast and time-set across the ages, this theatrical allegory captures the human spirit – of brilliance, idiocy and ultimately sweet survival.

Synopsis: Tennessee Williams’ iconic Pulitzer Prize-winning masterpiece is an exquisite study of the unraveling of Blanche DuBois, a fading southern belle. When she arrives unexpectedly on the doorstep of her sister, Stella, and her brother-in-law, Stanley Kowalski, Blanche is clinging desperately to a persona designed to help her survive. Over the course of one hot, sultry New Orleans summer, Blanche’s fragile facade slowly crumbles as she meets her match in the rough-hewn and hyper masculine Stanley, who is determined to expose her.

Cast: Demetrius Grosse and Deidrie Henry from NBC’s gripping new drama Game of Silence (premiering on April 12), will take on the roles of Stanley and Blanche in A Streetcar Named Desire. Two other television regulars join them: Stella will be played by Kristen Adele (The Mysteries of Laura and Orange is the New Black, among others) and Mitch will be played by Keith Eric Chappelle (Madam Secretary and Elementary, among others; on Broadway in A Raisin in the Sun and Cyrano de Bergerac). Seven local actors complete the cast: Bobby Bermea, Dana Millican, Gilberto Martin del Campo, Anya Pearson, David Bodin, Sofia May-Cuxim and Blake Stone.

Note: A Streetcar Named Desire is recommended for ages 14+. Contains mature content and iconic lines like, “I have always depended on the kindness of strangers.” The actors in this production will be using tobacco-free herbal cigarettes. Children under 6 are not permitted at any PCS production.

Based on Charles Dickens’ classic coming of age novel, Great Expectations tells the adventures of the Victorian orphan Pip. As a boy, Pip has three encounters with people that will change his life: the escaped convict Magwitch, the bewitching and cold Estella, and the unhinged Miss Havisham. When Pip comes into an unforeseen fortune and begins the life of a gentleman his past is not so easily left behind, and the surprising adventures of his new life are decidedly unexpected.

"With its original setting and the glorious costumes of 17th century France, this classic romantic comedy has been given a 21st century feel with a snappy modern adaptation.Cyrano tells the story of a great swordsman with a beautiful soul, who is hampered by a huge nose that makes him believe he is incapable of being loved by the beautiful Roxane. When he learns that Roxane and a handsome young soldier named Christian are infatuated with each other, he writes beautiful love letters for her suitor that lead to a calamitous love triangle. Filled with swordplay, romance and amped-up humor, this is the funniest Cyranoyou will ever see."

Run Time: Approximately 2 hours and 20 minutes, including one intermission.

Note: Cyrano is recommended for ages 10+. Children under 6 are not permitted at any PCS production. This production contains heart-stopping swordplay and swoon-inducing romance.

A little bit of something for pretty much everyone: family drama, a musical, political and international intrigue, fast-paced comedy that is never the same show twice, a classic romantic comedy, and a seldom seen Arthur Miller masterpiece!
